Portable Ice Shanty- Theres nothing like staying warm while ice fishing. Keeping you and your friends warm makes those slower days alot more bearable. Todays shantys are extremely light and portable. They often are manufactured so that when all collapsed they turn themselves into a sled. This makes dragging them across the ice much easier. Shantys today also come in almost any size you need. Whether you are looking for just your or a shanty for you and 5 of your friends, there will be something available for you.
Power Ice Auger- Theres nothing like the ease of a machine drilling your holes for you. Current augers come in both gasoline engines and electric models. Theres advantages to both. The electric models are lighter, quieter and cheaper but they also run out of power alot sooner. The Gas models will get the job done faster and with a full tank of gas will last you the entire day.
Take advantage of the year end sales. I know that your mind is now on the boat and summer fishing, but a little distraction today could save you a fortune on nicer ice fishing equipment for the coming ice fishing season.
